Since 1958

Our History

The year was 1959, and brothers Arlan and Dennis Van Wyk make a life-altering decision. They decided to go into the trucking business together. So, with two trucks hauling both grain and livestock in a five-state area, they started Van Wyk Bros. Trucking. Through their business insight and hard work, their enterprise grew steadily. Then, in 1970, two things happened that changed the trajectory of the company. Van Wyk Bros. Trucking became simply, Van Wyk, Inc., and instead of primarily hauling livestock and grain, they began to haul temperature-controlled and perishable cargo. With this they found their niche.

Since then, Van Wyk has seen steady growth, expanding through acquisition and organic growth. What started with two brothers and two trucks has grown to a team of over two-hundred, operating 200+ trucks, out of three locations.
